Current Projects

The creative urge is the wellspring of my art.
I have an endless curiosity about art and what happens if I try this? Or this? Or what if I try...?
On this page I share some of my personal creative work. The creative process is meaningful to me, in both my personal and commercial work.

I started attending Do Mi Stauber's colored pencil studio workshop in November 07. The pear drawing in the right column is a rough sketch in colored pencils. I used it on a label. It is great to rediscover and make progress in drawing again.

Digital photography and PhotoShop are two favorites of mine, especially since my husband grows so many beautiful plants. I have also produced a series of other flower illustratrations that are available as greeting cards.

Cyanotype is one of the oldest forms of photography. Here are some samples of images I've created. I have used some of the images to make bound albums and books. Cyanotype requires the sun so working with it is severely limited during Oregon's long cloudy winters.

In this case, I liked the carving itself!

It's a joke, of course. The Auto-Align feature in PhotoShop was greatly improved in CS3. I keep up with software upgrades through training at lynda.com.
